How do you feel the adult industry has changed in recent years?
Teri: The adult industry has changed so much since I first got into it. They don’t care about the talent anymore at all. It used to be fun to go to work and they would treat us like queens and the guys would treat us the same. Now we are just meat and they use us and throw us to the dogs. Plus, now you have to do twice as much work because of the internet. I’m sore after doing a scene when I work with other companies. The pay is insulting and the men treat us like they are the star, so I’m glad I don’t have to put up with that anymore. I have my own company and make my own movies. When I do work for other companies they still pay me good and treat me good. But I really feel sorry for the new girls who want to be porn stars, it just not the same.
How do you feel stripping has changed in recent years?
Teri: Not too much for me. I’m an entertainer and love to entertain and travel around the country. Now saying that, unfortunately the agents have ruined the feature entertainer business. They try to pander to the club owner and not to the ones they are supposed to be working for, their clients. Plus, a feature dancer is a girl that has done movies or been in magazines, not a girl who was a house dancer the week before and now they call her a feature dancer to save money. What happened is the guys don’t see any reason to come see a feature that is just a regular stripper. Most of them nowadays don’t even know what a show is or how to entertain the audience and their fans. So I think feature entertainers are on the way out and it's not worth it for the clubs to have them anymore.
How active are you in the business these days?
Teri:Very busy. I still feature dance about 30 weeks out of the year and do about 7 movies a year. We are coming out with “Teri Does Vegas the Hard Way”. I do 3 guys at the same time in that movie. Also, "Teri’s Desperate Houseguests”, a view into my life at my home in LA over the last 5 years. Plus the "Lost Tape of Teri" and a few more that will be coming out soon from my company Suitcase Pimp Films. I also work for Naughty America, Vivid, Teravision and a few other companies.
What else can we expect in the future from Teri Weigel?
Teri: Not sure, we will see. But look out for my new adventure, it will be big. T W WIGGLES coming soon, that’s all I can say for now.
Anything else you would like to say to the people out in cyberspace?
Teri: I want to say to all parents out there reading this you need to be better with your kids. One of you should stay home and bring them up and teach them values. Kids are the future and right now the way parents are bringing them up, or should I say dumping them off and sitting them in front of video games or the computer, is destroying the future of America.
We want to thank Teri for taking the time to do this interview. We also want to thank her for being the wonderful performer and entertainer that she has been for years. She is truly a superstar!
